North Carolina Beef Quality Assurance
Mooreland Farms is NC Beef Quality Assurance certified. The BQA mission is to guide producers towards continuous improvement using science-based production practices that assure cattle well-being, beef quality and safety. The program provides systematic information to U.S beef producers of how good husbandry techniques can be coupled with accepted scientific knowledge to raise cattle under optimum management conditions.
Soil Health Academy
Mooreland Farms is a proud graduate of the Soil Health Academy through Understanding Ag. UA is a regenerative agricultural consulting company that provides support in educating and mentoring farmers in the principles and practices needed to restore, repair, rebuild and regenerate farming ecosystems. They accomplish this by teaching farmers to apply time-tested ecological principals to regenerate our living ecosystems thereby restoring the health of all.
Recipient of the 2022 NC Environmental Stewardship Award
The NC Cattleman's Association and the NC Forage and Grasslands Council presented the Environmental Stewardship award to Mooreland Farms in 2022. This award recognizes our dedication to the environment through the regenerative agricultural practices we implement on our farm. We recognize and are committed to our responsibility as stewards of the land that we have been blessed with.
